Yes, turning the ignition the wrong way was too hard of a lesson for me to learn. Especially when one turns the key off by feel (down below and behind the hip). I fixed this problem after my first mistake. I can now turn my key either way----it does not leave a tail light on. Clip the wire connection that lighs the tail light (ON THE BACK OF THE SWITCH) and insulate the wire after clipping.
